ESL Australia has announced the seventh edition of the Oceanic championship, with $20,000 AUD (~$14,770) prize pot.
Almost a month has passed away since Chiefs' victory at the ESL Australia & NZ Championship Season 6 Finals, and a new season awaits with sixteen teams being a part of the online league again from August 1 to September 20.
During the upcoming season, the same format will be used with teams being separated into two groups of eight, where they will face their opponents in a best-of-two per matchday. The top four teams of each group will advance to the offline finals.
Twelve teams will be invited to the league, with ten squads already confirming their attendance. The last two direct invite slots will be given to teams based on their performance and results. The remaining four slots will be determined through two open qualifiers, which will send the top two teams from each qualifier to the league.
